So much for posting regularly...

Hey Y'all (thats a hopeful y'all). Birthday i had a great weekend away after my last post. The trip to my mums was nice, it was a warm night so we had the sunroof open all the way. It was probably the first night all year that it hasnt rained. I got a lot of stuff from Lush - including a voucher, so when we were in Cardiff last weekend, i went and bought even more of it. Lots of baths are in order now. Knitting The Noro bag turned out lovely. I will post some pics when i get off my lazy bum and stick them on the pc (using a card reader and not glue). I lined it with pretty black and gold fabric and my mum loved it. She even used it when we went out for dinner for my birthday. The great Noro disaster continues - I now have 7 balls in my possession as the original place that lost it decided to tell me they would refund me, but what they actually meant was that they would resend, so what do you do with 7 balls of Kureyon? Make a bag of course. This one will be my own design though and il post pics when they are worth taking. I knitted a lace scarf from white cotton for my mum for mothers day whilst i was up at her house for the weekend, it was a really easy knit, fairly mindless even, the pattern was from the Stitch n Bitch page a day calendar for March 2nd i think. Hippos The best thing about my weekend, except getting to see my mum, was that we got to see hippos at West Midlands Safari Park. And we got a free return ticket so we are going to go back soon. The baby hippos were so cute, again il post pics when im less lazy. In other animal news, my sisters guinea pig had a baby :) its really sweet. Any my ratties are cute as ever. Im thinking of upgrading their cage to something taller, since they do like climbing. I had my eye on a Ferplast Jenny Ferret cage, but im not too keen on the tiny doors, i want to be able to get to the ratties if i need to. Il put more thought into it. Painting On sunday we painted the bathroom, and it was really easy because bathrooms are small and so they lure you into a sense that painting is really simple and quick. So Monday, i bought paint for the bedroom, and as we went out for dinner and ate way too much, we didnt do much when we got home. Then last night we thought we should finish what we started before starting something new, and so spent the night finishing the painting of the feature wall which we started 6 months ago. Well i painted that, and Morven rearranged the spare room, which also needs more painting before its complete. So i dont know if it will be tonight or tomorrow or maybe even at the weekend before we finally paint our bedroom. Its a smallish room, but its packed full, so it will need time to dry so things can be put back before bedtime - maybe the weekend will be best. Plus, we arent doing anything this weekend that i know of. My garden is still none existant because everytime i plan on digging or planting, it snows! seriously, it snowed again on sunday and monday - i dont want to lose my little plants, so maybe they can wait, and il plant them on my windowsill until spring has definitly sprung. Oooh the clocks change this weekend too, i cant wait. It was actually daylight when i got home from work yesterday, so we can actually start doing things next week!

It's great that you had such a nice time at home=) I wouldn't call having 7 balls of Noro a disaster though! lol they cost a fortune =| I have to stick with the more affordable version of it.. Wendy's Fushion haha which is still lush btw but as a yarn lover you just have to have tried the Noro haven't you=)
Happy belated birthday btw! I've been really crap and lazy (and ill) and haven't done much of anything lately and completly forgot to post you your present I got you from Holland but I promise I will this monday! =)
