That day... It came...

I got the news this morning that my baby Carrot passed in the night. She had taken a turn for the worst last week so I was expecting to hear soon, but it still came as a bit of a shock, and I just wish I had got to see her before she went.
In the tradition of blogs, here are a few of her defining moments:
The day she came home, 2 and a half years ago:
July 2008 after her belly had healed and the cone had rubbed off some hair around her neck
Way back, looking more photogenic than any other rat I have ever seen. This photograph will stay on my desk at work for infinity, and I will always think fondly of the little beastie when I look at it. I love you my little Carrot. I will never forget those near misses we had and the times you spent sleeping in my tshirt when you were too ill to move. I will never forget how you could always always tell when we were trying to drug you and you were so stubborn just like me. You were my favourite baby and I hope you are in a better place now. Your daddy has done everything he could for you and I have missed you so much.

I'm so sorry, Anne-Marie. She was adorable.
